HKS Presents Carbon-Fibre Aero Kit for Suzuki Swift Sport

Suzuki’s latest generation Swift is one of our favourite mini cars; it’s reliable and well built, it’s nice on the road and it looks nearly as good as a MINI (….) without costing an arm and a leg. The top-of-the-line Sport version with its perky 125 Hp 1.6-liter is even better adding a dose of sportiness to the mixture. While we wouldn’t have minded a few more horses under the hood, HKS’ offering for the Swift Sport which was redesigned for the Japanese market last year (see here), concentrates on appearance and handling.

The Japanese tuner’s aero kit includes mirror caps, front and rear lip, roof spoiler, hood with an aero scoop and a rear door spoiler all of which are made out of carbon-fibre. The Swift’s exterior looks are complemented by a set of 18-inch Advan RC-III alloys wrapped in Yokohama tires (215/35 R18). Additionally, HKS offers buyers the option of suspension, brake and chassis upgrades. –More pics after the jump

HKS Mitsubushi Lancer EVO X 382 HP

We first told you about the HKS prepped 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X last fall when the Japanese tuning company released a teaser shot of the car. Now, HKS has announced details on its tuning package for the new EVO X. Depending on how far you’re willing to push your hand in your pocket, HKS offers a series of mechanical and styling upgrades for the EVO X with the most important being of course the power kit.

With the HKS engine pack that includes an uprated turbo, a new intake manifold, and a modified engine control unit, the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine’s output rises from 286 PS at 7.020 rpm to 383.2 PS at 6.230 rpm while torque goes from stock 44.9 kgm at 4.040 rpm to 48.9 kgm at 4.360 rpm.

Other mods include a chassis upgrade kit with new suspension parts and a lower ride height combined with 19-inch Advan Racing RZ alloy wheels wrapped in 265/30R19 Advan tires. As for the styling package, it consists of an aerodynamic bodykit along with carbon fiber mirror caps, hood scoop, side protectors and front apron. –More pics after the jump

2008 Mazda2 / Demio Tuned By HKS

While we we’re trying to dig out more info on the HKS prepped Mitsubishi EVO X (see here) we discovered that the Japanese tuner is also working on the all-new Mazda2 or Demio, as it’s called in the “Land of the rising sun”. HKS however, is trying its best to make our life a translation-hell by offering Japanese only press releases.

We won’t dare to give you the translated version but we can tell you that HKS will offer a wide variety of accessories for the new Mazda2 including a full bodykit, various alloy rim options, upgraded suspension and brake components, and ultra cool Recaro bucket seats. The Japanese tuner says that they’re also working on engine upgrades, details of which will be announced at a later date. HKS Readying 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X Sport Pack

Here we go boys, let the tuning games begin! Shortly after the Japanese market debut of the all-new Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X (click here), HKS revealed a teaser shot of the high-performance sedan featuring prototype sport parts. From what we were able to make from the translated release, the Japanese tuner will focus on two main areas: extra power and increased grip thanks to new suspension parts, lower ride height and different tire/alloy wheel combinations. By the way, doesn’t the white HKS EVO X RS with those alloy wheels looks outright sick?Source URL: http://sparesomeribs.blogspot.com/search/label/HKS
