In this video, a police car attempts to pull over a large truck on a Chinese highway but the trucker constantly keeps swerving around blocking the officers from overtaking him. Even though the trucker's actions threaten not only the life of the police officers, but also the safety of people in other cars that happened to be on the road, the whole scene is deliriously funny. If there's a reason to feel jealous for the folks in blue at UK's South Yorkshire Police department that has to be their garage which was recently enhanced with the addition of a new Police specification Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. The new car will be used alongside the ever present Evolution VIII and IX in the Road Crime Unit where proactive road policing is the mission and officers will be driving the EVOs in cases involving drug dealers and car thieves. "The Evo X was the car of choice because of its excellent pursuit capabilities and the fact that so much time and effort has been put into maximizing performance whilst minimising the risk of accidents" commented Inspector Slack.

For the past few years, the German Federal Traffic Ministry and the Association of German Automobile Tuners (VDAT) have been showing off custom-made police cars at Europe's largest aftermarket and tuning gathering, the Essen Motorshow, as part of the "Tune it Safe" initiative to encourage drivers to adopt safe and legal tuning practices. This year's Essen show that starts on November 29 will see the debut of a white and blue VW Scirocco.Aside from the full police livery, the Scirocco 'Polizei' has received a number of upgrades from various tuners including an ABT engine kit that boosts the 1.4-liter TSI's output from 160 to 210HP, Eibach sport suspension, Remus exhaust system, 20-inch Ventus alloy wheels in 245/30 ZR20 Hankook tires, a subtle bodykit and Recaro bucket seats.

Peugeot’s first 308 Police cars are due out on patrol this month in the Andy Bye, Manager of PSVO, said; “The 307 has been a success with UK Police fleets, and the improvements in the new 308 mean we have a very competitive proposition – a product that performs well at all levels. Police forces are increasingly mindful of the operational cost of running a fleet, and their impact upon the environment. The Peugeot 308 HDi 90 S combines low emissions and strong fuel economy, without compromising its role, with added practicality and performance.”
Skoda has beaten Volkswagen and Renault in the tender for the supply of 3,500 vehicles to the Czech police force from 2008 to 2011. The Czech carmaker won the bid as the 1.1 billion crowns it asked for was significantly lower than VW’s 1.4 billion and Renault’s 2.0 billion crown offerings. According to Skoda’s spokeperson, the deal will be signed this July. It is expected that the Czech police will order 700 vehicles this year.
