Hamann Releases New Alloys for 2009 BMW 7-Series and Maserati Granturismo

The crew over at Hamann Motorsports has developed a new series of aluminum wheel designs for the 2009 BMW 7-Series sedan and the sinfully beautiful, Maserati Granturismo. In particular, Hamman introduced two different alloy wheel designs for the Bimmer and one set of 21-inch alloys for Italian coupe, all of which are available exclusively in a black finish. Hamann has yet to release further details but expect to see the German tuner providing an array of styling and mechanical upgrades for both vehicles in the very near future.

Hamann Motorsports Tunes the Fiat 500

When a company like Hamann that specializes on BMWs and other high-end marques like Ferrari and Land Rover suddenly changes… its tune and focuses on the new 500, if anything else, that shows you how well Europeans have received Fiat’s retro-styled mini. The German tuner’s offerings for the 500 include both cosmetic and mechanical upgrades.

The 500’s appearance is spiced on the outside with various decals and new 17-inch, 5-spoke matt black alloys combined with 195/40 ZR17 or 215/34 ZR 17 tires (prices start from 1,420). Inside there are aluminum pedals and a car mat set with an embroidered logo. -Continued

Hamann has developed a sport exhaust system for the 1.4-liter petrol version with two round end pipes made of high-grade steel (70 mm diameter), a pre-muffler with metal catalyst and a sport fan manifold. Especially for the 1.3-liter diesel version, Hamann offers an engine kit that adds an extra 15 Hp, rising total output to 90 Hp and maximum torque to 230 Nm at 1,750 rpm.

Buyers can also opt for a sport suspension kit that brings the mini Fiat 30 mm closer to the ground along with anewly-developed braking system.

BMW M3 Coupe E92 by HAMANN

HAMANN has just released a tuning package for the V8-powered BMW M3 Coupe E92 that incorporates a series of mechanical and comsetic upgrades. While most of us would be easily satisfied with the standard M3’s 420 Hp, HAMANN saw it fit to offer two different engine kits. The first tuning package increases the 4.0-liter V8’s output to 435 Hp and delivers an additional 25 Nm of torque (series: 400 Nm) on the crank shaft. With the removal of the speed limiter, the M3 can go up to a top speed of 300 km/h or 187 mph.

The second kit called Sportkit HM/M +35 rises output to 455 Hp and toque to 448 Nm. In this case, the M3’s speedometer doesn’t stop until it reaches 320 km/h or 199 mph. The German tuning firm also offers a fully adjustable sports suspension along with a sport braking system that includes perforated and internally ventilated brake discs measuring 405 x 34 mm (front) and 380 x 28 mm (rear) that are “sandwiched” by the front six- and back four-piston system.

The mechanical upgrades are complemented by an aerodymanic package that includes front and rear spoilers, side skirts and a roof spoiler along with new 19-inch alloys wrapped in 245/35ZR19 rubber in the front and 265/35ZR19 at the rear. HAMANN also offers 20-inch rims which are combined with 245/30ZR20 tires on the front axle and 10.5Jx20 with 295/25ZR20 tires on the rear axle. –Continued

Finally, the German tuner’s package includes a wide range of acceseories for the M3’s interior including carbon-fiber trim for the hand brake lever, gear stick and pedals.
