In 2003, Volvo presented its first-ever SUV, the seven-seater XC90 which managed to prove a success despite the stiff competition of BMW X5s and Mercedes MLs. Volvo updated the XC90 in the 2007 MY with a light facelift, but in order to ensure that the XC90 will continue to sell, the Swedes will have to make plans for the second-generation model. We might not have any spy pictures of the premium SUV but the guys at Volvonews discovered a scan from the cover of the Spanish edition of Autobild magazine featuring a rendering of the new XC90 which is expected sometime in 2009 as a 2010 model.Via: Volvonews
